A fun fact about me is that I lived in Virginia Beach for four years. In the last three years, I have had the chance to visit twice.
The last few trips I made to Virginia Beach were with my husband and children. My girls and I love to try new places to eat. We especially like to try coffee shops, quaint bakeries, and restaurants that serve brunch.

If you are on the hunt for some fantastic places to eat in Virginia Beach, let me share my top picks from my recent vacation:
Bahama Breeze
I have had the chance to dine at the Bahama Breeze in Orlando, Florida. So, when I discovered there was a Bahama Breeze restaurant in Pembroke Square, I was ecstatic.
Imagine being whisked away to the Caribbean. Bahama Breeze is the ultimate tropical escape, where you can savor island-inspired dishes and unwind in a laid-back atmosphere.
When you order dinner, be sure to save room for dessert. If you are a chocolate lover, I recommend ordering the Chocolate Island dessert it is one of the best desserts I have ever had. It was so good I forgot to take a picture!
Cal’z Pizza
Who doesn’t crave pizza? Look no further than Cal’z Pizza. They whip up mouthwatering pizzas with fresh ingredients and local flair – it’s like a slice of comfort you will not want to miss.
For those of you who enjoy more than pizza, They have a variety of calzones, subs, hot wings, salads, and sides.
When I lived in Virginia Beach Cal’z was a staple in my home. I looked forward to evenings and weekends with a Cal’z meal.
Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant & Cantina
Mexican food is not my go-to meal when I visit Virginia Beach; however, a friend recommended Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant.
If you are looking for an authentic taste of Mexico, head to Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant & Cantina. The flavors transport you straight to the heart of Mexican cuisine with every bite.
Rudee’s on the Inlet Restaurant & Cabana Bar

Want to dine by the water? Rudee’s Restaurant & Cabana Bar is your spot.
Enjoy seafood delights while gazing out at the picturesque inlet. The restaurant has an eat outside or eat inside option.
Rudee’s is within walking distance of the beach and has gliding tables if you sit outside.
Waterman’s Surfside Grill
Waterman’s Surfside Grill is located right off the Virginia Beach boardwalk. My daughter still raves about their fresh seafood and salads.
When you eat at Waterman’s Surfside Grill, embrace the beachy vibes. They capture the essence of Virginia Beach’s coastal charm in their seafood specialties and hearty food options.
